Materials Needed:

  • 16mm Blank Bezel Pendant Trays
  • Cable chain
  • Toggle clasp
  • Ear hooks
  • 4mm & 9mm jump rings
  • Glass beads 6/0 & 8mm
  • 20 gauge wire
  • E6000 adhesive
  • Head pins
  • Round nose jewelry pliers
  • Chain nose jewelry pliers
  • Flush wire cutters
  • Wire cutters
  • 12 Small & 2 Large buttons

How to Make the Earrings:

Step 1. Cut two lengths of chain, enough for a link for each color. Attach the ear wire to the chain using a 4mm jump ring.

Step 2. Add 1 6/0 bead and 1 button to a 9mm jump ring. Attach the ring to a link at the top of the chain. Continue adding buttons, alternating between each side of the links until you reach the bottom.

Step 3. Place an 8mm bead on a head pin and add it to the chain at the top, middle, and bottom.

Step 4. To complete the earring, create a loop with an approximately 2” length of wire. Thread the wire through one of the larger buttons, bend both ends upward, and secure them by twisting around each other. Attach the button to the last link in the chain.

Step 5. Repeat the process for the second earring.


How to Make the Bracelet:

Step 1. Use 4mm jump rings to connect bezel trays together, ensuring you have enough pendants for the desired bracelet length.

Step 2. Attach toggle clasps to each end of the bracelet.

Step 3. Remove the shank from the back of each Smiley button with flush wire cutters.

Step 4. Read directions for your glue to ensure proper use and correct drying time. Add glue to each pendant, and carefully center each button. Allow the glue to dry completely.

Step 5. Once the glue has dried, your Smiley Bracelet is ready to wear!
