Double Frame

Cherish memories from a special occasion with this adorable Double Frame. Let’s walk through the steps of creating this cute and fun frame, adorned with Buttons Galore and More products.
What You’ll Need:
- Two 10 ½ x 10 ½ decorative cardstock
- One 1 x 6 ½ (hinge)
- One 6 ½ x 6 ½ (cut a small slice on both sides to make it slightly smaller than 6 ½ )
- Ribbon
- BGM Products and other decorative items (I specifically used the items from the latest BGM Box, the Celebrate Box!)
- Scoreboard
- Scissors
- Adhesive
- Bone folder
Step 1: Crafting the Base
Using a scoreboard, take one of the 10 ½ x 10 ½ cardstock pages and score at ½, 1, 1 ½, and 2 on all four sides. Create additional score marks at 2 ½ down to the second original score line and at 8. Repeat this process for the second cardstock page.
Step 2: Cutting and Shaping
With scissors, cut along the score lines, creating a funky, mountain-esque shape. Remove the little squares formed by the cut. This will result in two straight sides and two unique, angled sides.
Step 3: Folding and Adhering
Fold and crease along all score lines using a bone folder. Apply adhesive to the last flap of the score line closest to you, folding it over so that it meets the cardstock right up to the first crease. Repeat this on all four sides.
Step 4: Optional Shaker Background
If desired, create a shaker background before folding the sides. Add shaker elements in the middle, avoiding the edge, and play taped-edge acetate in the center. Continue to step 5.
Step 5: Assembling the Frame
Lift the square, apply adhesive to the outer corners, and push up the angled side to meet on top of the squared side. Pinch them together to ensure a secure bond.
Step 6: Adding the Hinge
Score the hinge at 1 ⁄ 2, apply adhesive to the outside, and place it on the edge of one of the frames, ensuring the hinge opening is towards you. Repeat with the other frame.
Step 7: Finishing Touches
Add ribbon for closure (optional) and let your creativity shine as you decorate the double frame with delightful embellishments and buttons.
